Houston seems to always be in the mood for south-of-the-border flavors, but it can soon get its fill for a good cause.

A handful of eateries featuring Latin American and Tex-Mex fare made their way onto Houston Restaurant Weeks' menu this year. Featuring cuisines from Peru, Colombia and Venezuela (just to name a few), this year's eateries give a spicy kick when it comes to doing good around the city.

Houston Restaurant Weeks kicks off Aug. 1 and lasts through Sept. 7. The highly anticipated event, which was established in 2003, will benefit the Houston Food Bank.

According to Houston Restaurant Weeks' website, the foodie fundraiser has donated nearly $6 million to help feed Houston's hungry and provided enough for almost 18 million meals.
