Alex Brennan-Martin
Alex grew up in the nationally acclaimed Commander’s Palace, owned and passionately run by his mother, New Orleans restaurant grand dame Ella Brennan. There, he tackled kitchen assignments, greeted guests, and learned the restaurant ropes by observing and participating in every role. Ella’s powerful charm, no-nonsense perspective, and sharp mentoring skills offered unique insight, as did Alex’s interactions with the celebrated chefs to whom his mother gave their starts — Paul Prudhomme, Emeril Lagasse, and the late Jamie Shannon, among others. Carl Walker
During his tenure as executive chef, Carl launched a radio program and published Brennan’s of Houston In Your Kitchen. Among his distinguished accolades, Chef Carl was a recipient of the highly coveted Culinary Legacy Award, lauded as one of America’s most influential chefs by restaurant critic John Mariani, and tagged “Best Chef in Houston” by My Table magazine. He also added the Ivy Award, Critic’s Choice Award, and the Mobil four-star designation to the Brennan’s of Houston’s bragging rights. Danny Trace
With three stellar years under his belt at Commander’s in Florida, Chef Danny added a fourth restaurant in fall 2009 to his rich history with the Brennan’s Family of Restaurants. He today serves as Executive Chef at Brennan’s of Houston, creating traditional Creole favorites and intriguing daily specialties with a tempting twist that draw Houston diners time and again.
