Joseph Phelps Freestone Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, CA 2011

Hahn Family SLH Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands, CA 2011

Wines We Love with Our Food

Scholium Project FTP Pinot Gris, Lodi, California 2012

Only 36 cases made. 500 ml bottle. The first wine made from the Kirschenmann Ranch vineyard owned by Tegan Passalaqua, the winemaker for Turley. 35 year old vines on the banks of the Mokelmune River in Eastern Lodi. A tiny bit of skin contact during fermentation gives this wine a copper color. With high-toned acidity, this wine pairs well with creme-based soups and salmon.

Cloudy Bay Riesling, Marlborough, New Zealand 2010

A nose of lime zest, mandarin sherbet and white flowers. The alate is lush and mouth filling with flavors of honeysuckle, green and red apple. The solid backbone of acidity balances the sweet fruit flavours and gives lift to the lingering palate. An elegant layer of minerality gives added interest to this off dry style of riesling.

Albert Mann Vieilles Vignes Auxerrois, Alsace, France 2011

The nose is fresh and bright with ripe white core fruit, peach, citrus and earthy tones complemented by floral, blossom hints. The palate is quite silky, somewhat waxy, nicely filling; full of white core fruit, peach, grapefruit and unripe pineapple, with floral hints and a firm backbone of minerality. Amazing with chicken, fresh seafood or fish.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Famille Perrin Les Sinards 2010

Nose of lavender, dusty rose petals and black tea. Lush and inviting, with the black tea notes weaving through the fleshy layers of melted fig, hoisin sauce, plum preserves and blackberry pudding. Dry start and then a spread of spice and fruit on the palate. Try it with grilled or roasted meat and game.

Chateau de Sancerre Pinot Noir, Sancerre, Loire Valley, France 2010

The Loire Valley is definitely home to the world's greatest sauvignon blanc and chenin blanc, but also makes some outstanding pinot noir. Aromas of red berries, cherry jam, and a hint of oak and spice. The flavor is fresh and bright, with more red cherry and candied fruit. An elegant wine to be enjoyed with just about anything.

Arnot Roberts Syrah, North Coast, California 2012

How can you not love syrah?!? A rustic, meaty and straight up delicious wine that highlights the beauty of cool climate Syrah. The wine boasts loads of meaty blackberry and earthy dark fruits, black pepper, smoked meat, herbs and crushed stone notes on the nose. This medium-bodied wine has a mouth filling, rustic texture, great acidity and a chewy, rich finish. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. A great choice for duck or quail.

Pierre Usseglio Panorama, Rhone Valley, France 2011

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Grenache, very uncommon to the South of France. Aromas of black cherry and licorice lift from the glass. Light to Medium-bodied with loads of fruit, elegant spice and a hint of tannin. Perfect for a Harris Ranch Strip Steak.
