3 Standouts on the New Spring Menu at Brennan's Houston

It was love at first bite as we sampled the new seasonal menu at the elegant Brennan's Houston, which recently garnered third place in our list of Top 50 Restaurants. From a New Orleans twist on duck a l'orange to hickory-smoked oysters, here are some must-try highlights that show off the fine-dining restaurant's flair for Creole cooking.
Buffalo Bayou honey roasted duck
To form this mouthwatering plate, crisp-skinned duck slices are served with crawfish fried rice, chayote squash, orange duck sauce and a quail egg (pictured at top).
Jimmy’s oyster roast
Jalapeno cornbread crumbs add a finishing kick to hickory-smoked oysters, which are topped with seaweed flakes and presented in a cast-iron skillet.
Galveston docks koo-be-yahn
his hearty stew with fish, shrimp, peppers and Courtbouillon (Cajun) sauce comes with a hefty scoop of potato salad.
