Brennan's of Houston is offering a 25 cent mimosa and Bloody Mary during Saturday brunch, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The 25 cent martini has been a way of life at Brennan's restaurants since Day 1. And even if the three martini lunch is largely a thing of the past, it's nice to know that Brennan's of Houston, 3300 Smith, still offers martinis for just a quarter Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
But now Brennan's is expanding the deal and the offerings. This summer the venerable home to luxe Texas Creole fare has a new deal: 25 cent mimosas or Bloody Marys during Saturday brunch (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). While Brennan's is calling this twist on its martini tradition a "limited" promotion, there's no set end date to the deal. Still, it would be a good idea to get your mimosa-on or quench your Bloody thirst while you have the chance.
The quarter-priced cocktails are available with the purchase of an a la carte entrée from chef Danny Trace's menu. The current seasonal brunch offerings include crispy Louisiana softshell crab over sliced tomatoes, cucumber and pear with a charred lemon sauce; Atchafalaya crawfish cakes with poached eggs, charred peppers and tomato Creole sauce; and Texas peaches and cream pain perdu (French toast) with Applewood smoked country ham, sorghum granola, Creole cream cheese whip and Bayou rum cane syrup.
