RECIPE: BRENNAN’S OF HOUSTON’S BRANDY MILK PUNCH

Keep Jack Frost at bay with this chest-warming brandy-spiked punch.

Winter continues to linger. Even Houston has experienced the occasional cold snap. Thankfully, Brennan’s of Houston, the elegant dining space renowned for its fine-dining take — white tablecloths included — on Texas creole cuisine, has just the thing to warm you up.

Brandy Milk Punch

2 ounces brandy (bourbon may be substituted)
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1½ ounces whole milk
1 ounce simple syrup
½ ounce amaretto
Nutmeg, for garnish

Mix liquid ingredients in a glass and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
