Soul-food specials

James Beard Award-winning author Adrian Miller is teaming with Brennan's of Houston for two special evenings exploring the roots of soul food. On Wednesday, Miller will collaborate with Brennan's chef Danny Trace for a cooking class (cost is $65 and includes a three-course meal). On July 31, a fried-chicken dinner will showcase recipes from Miller's book "Soul Food: The Surprising Story of an American Cuisine, One Plate at a Time."
