"I first visited Willamette Valley ten years ago and found a beautiful young wine region making beautiful wines. As I tasted and talked with winemakers I came to the conclusion that this cool climate wine region has just as much to do with Burgundy as it does the United States. Argyle is at the beating heart of the Willamette Valley with its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and especially Sparkling wine. They have been making wine in the region since 1987. I feel Oregon right now is maybe the best wine tourism in the United States."
