We are excited to welcome Chef Eric Cook to Brennan's of Houston — celebrated New Orleans chef, combat veteran, and unapologetically bold culinary personality — for a live cooking demonstration and three-course dinner on Monday, September 8. 

Known for his uncensored, rock-and-roll style in and out of the kitchen, Chef Cook is the Executive Chef and Owner of the award-winning Gris-Gris and Saint John restaurants in New Orleans. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he trained at the John Folse Culinary Institute and sharpened his skills at iconic spots like Brennan’s and Commander’s Palace before leading kitchens for the National WWII Museum’s American Sector and Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House. 

Since opening Gris-Gris in 2018 and Saint John in 2021, he has earned numerous accolades, including Best Chef (EATER NOLA, Reader’s Choice), Best New Restaurant (New Orleans CityBusiness), and Best Gumbo in New Orleans (USA Today). Guests at this exclusive event will see Chef Cook’s energy and expertise in action as he prepares three signature dishes from his Modern Creole Cookbook, including a Grilled Feta and Tomato Salad, a stunning and flavorful Redfish Court-Bouillon, and a delicious Strawberry Shortcake. This is more than a cooking class — it’s a front-row seat to the passion, skill, and personality of one of New Orleans’ most celebrated chefs.
